Golden Rainbow is fortunate to have Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada as a valued community partner and neighbor. Since relocating our offices to a ground-floor suite in their building in 2015, we have been collaborating on many programs and services for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Currently, the space located directly above the Golden Rainbow office is being renovated to become a newly expanded multi-purpose room for the sole purpose of providing our mutual HIV+ clients a safe, comfortable place to connect and learn. When completed, we will begin offering an expanded menu of classes and programs and a new drop-in center.

The following programs are currently being offered at Community Counseling Center. We invite all clients with HIV to venture Over The Rainbow to see what’s in store.

Freedom From Smoking

Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health. For people with HIV/AIDS, smoking can be especially life threatening. Golden Rainbow and Community Counseling Center along with the American Lung Association are pleased to offer the Freedom From Smoking Program, ranked the Most Effective Smoking Cessation Program in the country.

Although the first steps can be hard, finding your path to a smoke free life is easier with the right help. This program is a proven way to quit smoking - and stay quit - even if you’ve tried before and went back to smoking. This 7-week program is free to qualified clients and includes a handy workbook and the nicotine gum used in the process.

The next series of sessions is scheduled to begin Spring 2017.
